After weeks of visits to schools, offices, companies, and media, it was time for final thanks. The organizers of the jubilee edition of the Package for a Hero in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki paused to look back at what they had managed to create together.
As the activists gathered around the action report: – Over the past weeks, we visited schools, kindergartens, companies, local government officials, social organizations, uniformed services, and the media. We presented thanks. We talked. We reminisced. We thanked. And although we covered hundreds of kilometers, held dozens of meetings, and drank countless cups of coffee, one thing remained unchanged. At every step, we met people with great hearts.
– Looking at this entire series of thanks today, we can say one thing. It turned out pretty well. Not because everything was perfect. Not because there were no problems. But because around the Package for a Hero, we managed to gather people who wanted to do something good for others. And this is a value that cannot be measured by any statistics – they add.
The perpetrators of all the commotion
There was one more address left on the map of our visits – we had to find the perpetrators of all the commotion. As we read in the report: – Fortunately, we succeeded. They did not resist. They admitted to everything: hundreds of calls, dozens of meetings, thousands of kilometers driven, countless phone calls. And above all, to the fact that they believed the first Easter Package for a Hero in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki could succeed.
Marta Wilczek – a volcano of energy
The organizers particularly highlight Marta Wilczek: – A volcano of energy. A person for special tasks. Someone for whom the word "impossible" seems to be merely a linguistic curiosity. Where others see a problem, Marta sees a solution. Where others wonder if something will work, Marta is already acting. She infects with energy, optimism, and faith in people. And with all this, she remains an exceptionally calm, responsible, and balanced organizer. She brings warmth, kindness, understanding, and joy to every initiative. She can listen. She can understand. She can see the person. Because for Marta, respect is always the most important thing. For people. For their history. For their emotions. And that is precisely why it is so easy to build a team, a community, and an atmosphere around her in which everyone feels important.
Piotr Dobrowolski – an oasis of calm
– If Marta is a volcano of energy, then Piotr is an oasis of calm. A man who always acts above divisions. With a smile. With a twinkle in his eye. And with the unshakable conviction that one should act energetically, but always with prudence. He never pushes to the forefront. He never expects medals. He never expects a pat on the back. But he is always where he should be. Very often even before anyone thinks it would be worth involving Piotr. He is a man practically everyone knows. And practically everyone recognizes. Our business card. A man "known" in every environment. And at the same time, a man who, with the calm of Tibetan monks, carries out every task step by step. Even the one that others consider impossible – we read in the thanks.
Trust from the very beginning
In conclusion, the organizers thanked Tomasz Sawicki and the entire Package for a Hero team – for their trust, support, and cheering from the very beginning. How great was this trust? The president had the opportunity to meet Marta personally only in May. Piotr… not yet. And yet, they were entrusted with the opportunity to represent the Package for a Hero and organize its jubilee, tenth edition right here – in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki.
Thanks were also directed to all individuals, institutions, schools, companies, organizations, local government officials, volunteers, and residents who made it possible for the Package for a Hero to have its day in Nowy Dwór.
Will there be a continuation?
As a certain artist says: Time will tell, time will tell… Although it must be honestly admitted that the power of attorney to represent the Package for a Hero is valid until the end of the year.
– Looking at what we have managed to create together in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki, we have no doubt – we have come a really long way – conclude the activists.
