On 23-VII-2026 soldiers of the Territorial Defense Forces Training Centre named after Captain Eugeniusz Konopacki, codename “Trzaska”, in Toruń took part in a nationwide honorary blood donation campaign. The action coincided with the 82nd anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising.
The soldiers donated blood, referring to the words of the military oath: “…in need to spare neither one’s own blood nor life…”. The aim of the undertaking was to commemorate the heroes of the Uprising by promoting honorary blood donation, patriotic attitudes and social engagement.
The Territorial Defense Forces Training Centre has been operating since 2018. The unit prepares Territorial Military Service soldiers and professional soldiers to perform command and instructor-specialist functions in the structures of the Territorial Defense Brigades.
